Jen Kennedy is truly an Angel!  On her way to last weeks Planet Blue photoshoot, she heard the meows of a kitten while stuck in traffic on the freeway!  Being a huge animal lover she pulled over and found a kitten!  The angels immediately delayed their entire day of shooting and bathed him! 

Fortunately for this little kitten, he now has an amazing home with our Angel!  Sadly there are so many others not as fortunate.  We at Planet Blue strongly support no-kill animal shelters such as our local shelter, http://www.save-a-life.org/

On Saturday July 19th, Santa Monica Pier will be hosting Glow, an all night event in honor of the beautiful, glowing grunion!  The grunion only come ashore a few times a year and when they do the create a momentary sensation of iridescence! 

Not only will there be grunion, but all forms of art will be displayed including poetry readings.  This event goes from 7pm-7am...make sure to be there from 10:30pm-1:30am to see the grunion run!

In her recent artlice, "Catcalling:  Creepy or a Compliment?" Anna Jane Grossman interviews a researcher who found that 98% of female respondents had received some form of unwelcomed attention while in public.  Of those repondents, 30% reported being harassed regularly.   In an even more shocking discovery, the same researcher uncovered that "men are simply ignorant about how their behavior is perceived."
