Marisa Haskell
Marisa was born and raised in the canyons of Santa Barbara, CA. She started with leather work in highschool after being given a deerhide that had been tanned years back by her grandmother. Her jewelry making started with stringing together old Navajo, Zuni and mexican jewelry scraps from pieces her father had collected over the years.
After college at UC Berkeley she moved to the beach in Mexico for a year to work in a tiny antique store, surf, play music and focus on art and leather work. All pieces were made with scavenged materials found in market places.
Now based in Oakland CA, she continues to create handmade pieces that have a similar beach aesthetic, but with a modern luxe quality. Designed to be worn multiple ways, these pieces allow the wearer to have freedom in how they wear their pieces.
